Visceral Throne is a recent band only formed in 2009. It's though well busy. Could you describe the band briefly for those who might not know you ?

Visceral Throne is a brutal death metal band from Evansville, IN, in an area where there aren't even any death metal bands, let alone a BRUTAL death metal band. We are a brutal death metal band that doesn't try to be the most brutal or the fastest, but tries to write the best, infectious, memorable tunes.


Where does the band name come from? Who got the idea ?

The band name is a symbol for our lyrical themes and philosophical ideas. We believe that man rules the throne of man, and not a god or gods. And so, Visceral Throne would be a representation of human beings holding the throne of humanity. The band name was Andrew's idea.


Can you explain how did Visceral Throne manage to be so advanced after such a short time? What's your secret?

Well I suppose the answer to that is either that people really like our tunes or sheer luck. We wrote a 2 song demo and went into record and everything else kinda took care of itself. I wish I knew the secret that way I could apply it to all my other music projects. HAHA.


What's the message behind your music ? Who writes the lyrics?

The message behind the lyrics is to try and get people to think for themselves. Each song has an individual message I want to portray to people. For example, the song Ignorant Persistence is about how despite the scientific achievements we've acheived as mankind, the majority of humanity wants to cling onto a god or their gods. I try not to stay on the same topic too much too. So all our lyrics aren't necessarily about religion. Some are about the corruption of mankind as well. Also, Andrew writes the lyrics, as well as all the music.


What are your future projects with Visceral Throne ? Is there something you'd like, you'd hope for but which isn't planned yet?

Well we are going to record our first full length this summer. After that it will be released on Brutal Bands. After that, there will be a lot of touring and fests. Possibly some overseas events. Only time will tell.


From April 2010 you have 4 tour dates for the moment. What are your hopes for that? What's your feeling about those?

Well a lot fo the shows we are doing at the moment are local, as we have seemed to create quite a following here in Evansville, IN. But we are also playing the Mid American Metalfest with Devourment, Putrid Pile and some other top notch brutal death bands. We're pretty excited for that.


You are from Evansville in the USA. And your 4 shows will be in this town. How is the local metal scene? What's the more listened-to metal genre?

The local metal scene here is piss poor. The scene here is mainly core/scene, but recently there has been a resurgence of metal. The most listened to genre of metal in Evansville, IN, is Deathcore, if you call that a genre of metal. But we have got quite a bit of support here locally and the shows we have done here have all been good.


You seem quite young so I suppose you're still at school. How do you cope with school and the band (rehearsals, recording, classes, homeworks...)

Well I suppose that would be a question for the other guys to answer, because yes, they are still in school. However, we seem to make time for practicing at least once a week. School hasn't really been much of a problem at this point. And we plan on recording in the summer so we can take all the time we need. It's really not much of a hassle, the way I see it.


I think you are busy composing an album. Can you already reveal some things about this album? (lyrics, artwork, recordings...)

Well we're trying to keep a lid on the details until we've got some solid, in writing plans for everything. We've picked out a studio and an artist. It will all be revealed in time. But however there are 5 songs done for the album at this point. There will be another 4 for a total of 9 songs.


When do you think we could hear it?

There may be a sampler up sometime late summer.


Which bands and which music style are a source of influence for your band? Do all the bands members have the same tastes when it comes to music?

Our main influences are Internal Suffering, Disgorge and Suffocation. We are also influenced by bands like Devourment, Meshuggah, Defeated Sanity and some others. The majority of the guys in the band are all about the brutal shit. Our lead guitar player is into a lot of the shred stuff and deathcore. But we all have a diverse collection of things we like.

Devourment

-Hey Mike, how are you going ?
It’s a pleasure according us this interview with you.

Things are great, thanks for the interview!

-Can you briefly present us the Devourment’s line up?
What are your impressions about this?

Devourment consists of me on vocals, Ruben Rosas on guitar, Eric Park on drums and 1,000% on bass, formerly known as Captain Piss. This has been the lineup for the last 2 albums and will be on the next one as well.

-I think the band split in 1999.
Can you explain us the reasons of this?

It was a combination of things but the main reason was that Ruben Rosas, who was the vocalist for the band at the time, went to prison for 2 years. I tried to keep the band going with moderate success, but the band really didn’t get truly back together until about 2004.

-Why did you finally decided to reform the band in 2005?
Who had this idea?

It was 2004 that and Ruben and I hooked up with Eric Park, who was a perfect fit for the band since day one. Ruben and I just decided it was the right time to do it, so we wrote Butcher the Weak and recorded it in 2005. Ruben and I both attempted to resurrect the band before that, but it never really worked out.

-Mike, previously you were bassist in the band and you became the singer.
Why this changement?

When we reformed in 2004, Ruben was going to play guitar as the former guitarists Brain Wynn and Kevin Clark more or less, disappeared from contact, so we decided to forge on without them. We got our original vocalist Wayne Knupp to once again do vocals for the band, but not long after that, he decided to leave due to some problems in his personal life. We then had to decide what to do, so at a practice one day, I picked up the mic and gave it a try. I knew I would have to practice quite a bit but was confident I could pull it off. After time, it all worked out very well.

-What place do you prefer in Devourment? Vocals or bass?


Vocals for sure, less shit to carry. I also love being in control of a crowd, it’s a killer rush.

-From the beginning to today, how the band evolved?

It’s evolved tremendously. The band now as opposed to the original lineup is more focused. I wouldn’t say one is better than the other, but different for sure, without losing focus of our sound or music. We have definitely progressed as song writers, as I think any band must to succeed.

Are there some differences between it?

The main difference is the songwriters. Back then, Brain Wynn was the primary song writer. Now, the whole band really is involved which I think makes for a lot more diversity, and bonds the band members a lot tighter.

-In 2005, you made a split called “united state of goregrind” with notably Screaming afterbirth.
How did this collaboration take place?

Haha, Im not really sure to tell you the truth. They contacted us and I said sure, put Babykiller and Autoerotic Asphyxiation on for us. We ended up getting some cds as payment and the credits were even wrong for us. I thought that kind of sucked, oh well, its cool, we appreciate any support really.

-You are also designer, and you manage Jewski art. You have work for bands like Insidious Decrepancy, Abominable Putridity, Degrade, Putrid Pile, Guttural Secrete and many many more…
How did you come to make design nowadays? Do you create artworks for Devourment?

Yeah actually one of the first bands I ever did t-shirt art was Devourment, and that was before I was in the band. So of course I still do designs for Devourment. A lot of the bands I do art for are good friends of mine, and bands I really love so its great to be able to do art for them. A lot of work just comes to me. People write me on my art myspace page and I pretty much don’t turn anyone away for wok, unless the band is in the studio or on tour.

-What could we wish to Devourment in the future? How do you see the band in the time to come?

We just want to continue to play good shows, and write the music we want to play. Hopefully our fans will always be happy and supportive of what we put out. Doesn’t always work out that way unfortunately, but we always try to get across that we never intend to change our style or try to make our music more accessible. That will never happen with us.

-You’ve signed on the Brutal Bands label.
How does it work? Is it a demand from the band or the label contacted you to work together?

I actually contacted them because I heard great things about their customer service and really liked their roster of bands. Basically, when we released Butcher the Weak initially, it was self released. We made the decision to re-record Butcher the Weak, but this time wanted to get it on a label so it would get more exposure, so I contacted Brutal Bands about it and a 2 album deal was made.

-On the myspace’s page, we see a lot of “maggots” drawning.
Could you explain us the concept? Where this idea is from?
Was it something like a contest?

It’s pretty cool how that started happening. I originally drew it for the Molesting disc art. When we were working on Butcher the Weak, I planned on drawing a new one, but decided to as another artist to do his version of the design, which ended up being Studio Sho, who is one of my favorite artists. What he did was so amazing, it seemed like a great idea to get another artist to do one for Unleash the Carnivore. I contacted Dan Seagrave, who is a huge inspiration to me artistically and he agreed to do his own version. What he came up with just totally blew me away. Next I asked Mark Riddick to design one, another huge inspiration to me, and his was also incredible. So I posted those on our myspace page, and from there, artists just started submitting their own versions of it. It just became almost a project for every underground artist to do. There has been some really awesome designs and its just a really cool way to check out an artist’s interpretation of that design.

First I got to apologize that I let you wait this long time..
I´m really glad to do this interview with you!


You have recently played at the Deathfeast Open Air. Give us your feelings.
What memories have you got of this fest ?

Well, as this is the biggest Open Air Festival in this music genre, it was a great pleasure to play that show. Didn´t play in front of such a crowd. It was really amazing!


And how did happen your second show at the Houten Deathfest ?

As Arnoud, the organizer, personally seems to like our music he asked us again..and I think that it´ll be a third time possible.


Pathologically Explicit rec is your current label. How long have you been working with them ? Have you worked with other labels before ?

Pathologically, Fernando, just released our first EP and did the merch for it..as we´ve been existing just since about 3 years, we didn´t work with other labels. I hope so, that we approximately can release new stuff in 2010..but not sure which it´ll be.


Talking about Merch, I think everything is sold out even by your label.
Is something new coming out soon ?

I hope so that we can release some new merch and stuff really soon...
but I can´t promise anything.


You are from Köln and around.It looks like a nice city, we went there sometimes notably for the Music Store Shop. What do you think of Köln ?

Well, as it is my hometown where I was born and raised, I couldn´t think anything bad of it.I´m sure I will stay most of my life here and will keep on doing music with people from here! :)


And how is the Metal scene there ?

The problem that, because it´s such a big city, way too much gigs are organized here. So the people aren´t really motivated for smaller things, like supporting the underground. It´s not really easy to organize gigs over here, but if you keep up doing commercial for that shit and stuff, you get some good party!


What is different in your life since you are a member of Begging For Incest ?
( In Good and/Or bad too ).

That´s a really difficult question. As I´ve been a member in several bands I can´t tell what´s other in this band..except the one little thing that keeps me stick to this kind of music and of course this band..and that´s the emotion you get on stage with that slammingcirclepitcrowd..I can´t imagine moments in my life on stage getting that energy from the crowd.

Do you remember your first show with BFI ? How did it happen ?

The first show was hilarious. A really small location..really small with some Hardcore-crowd..but you can´t call it crowd..just a few people.Really not that special gig..but the following gigs got better and better..so also the music :D


I guess some technical problems or else are inevitable on stage.
Do you remember one in particular ?

Mhm, I can´t remember anything terrible with BFI, but I can remember one gig of an older band of mine when I was all the time so fucking drunk on stage that I just pulled my instrument cable out of my guitar twice when I was just acting :D
My bandmembers where really pissed off..but I didn´t care.


What kind of future would you like for BFI ?

That we just keep up good work together in the next years and hopefully play a european tour something.


In Metal, The artwork/design have an important place in the creation of albums covers, merch, myspace and other websites. Who is your favourite designer ?

I don´t care of special designer or something. Also I don´t like that every fucking band got a good artwork, but the music is the shit.How can it be that the artwork is more important than the music..and that whole bands who got Majewski-Artworks, except Devourment ;), are also miserable..of course the guy got some good stuff, but just try to make good music before you get that killer artworkstuff..


Since the creation of the band in 2007, you have made a demo, an EP and a Split. Have you got new Cd projects ?

We wrote new stuff and we´re still on the run, but new studio sessions are not planned..we hope to do somethin in 2010.


Now, you're looking for a new bass player. What kind of people do you search to complete the band ?

We´re just looking for motivated guys that fit in our little world of crazy musicians.I think that there must be a good bass player who likes slam his balls off and also is technical accomplished.

Each member of the band come from the USA, but anyway you live far to each other.
How did you met with the members? and how did the band creation happened?

It all happened over the internet. Just everyone kinda stumbling upon everyone else,discovered they were great musicians, and wham, you have a band.


How does the songs creation, the recording sessions and all the decisions happen with the distance between the members?

Alex programs the drums and sends it to me or Mike, then the guitaris written and recorded. Everyone listens to the rough track and decidesif its a keeper or not. Its alot easier than everyone tends to think.


Unfortunately you don't make a lot of show..

Is is a problem for you? Would you like to make it more?

We'd love to play live, but its just not a possibility right now.When we pick up a label and they fund it,you better bet we'll be playing.


In the "Amaranthine Redolance" CD "Big Chocolate" was a guest...
How did this collaboration happened?

Ah that was a long time ago. They probably just met over the internetlike the rest of us did and Chase asked him to help out.


"Amaranthine Redolance" is the name of your CD and your EP.
Why did you keep the same name and some same songs ?

Chase and Mike were only about 16 at the time.
Maybe they didnt know better hahaha.


Currently that's strange but a lot of band choose to make some feat with other one...
Would you be interessed by this experience one day?

We have a few guests for the new CD, so we'll be experiencing it soon.
Just who the guests are, I cannot say. Its a secret haha.


If you are, which band would you like to work with?

Cattle Decapitation.
They are fans of ours and all around cool guys.


We saw that "Gorefiend", "UC" and "Deformed Foetus Prod" produced your merch...
Did you work with another in the past?

UC made our first girl shirts. Gorefiend did an amazing job on our second shirt.They were the first one we worked with.


Are you looking for new collaborations in the future?

We're down for anything.


How "The Carrion Recoil" is going on?

Its going, but kinda slow. We're all pretty busy with work, school,friends, other bands, ect. But I assure you, we are still determinedto get this album done, and it will happen.


What are the difference with the previous one?
Are you keeping the same style on it? (the sound,...)

We are keeping a similar style, but there will be profound changed.
The guitar is going to be alot more technical, we are adding some time signature and tempo variation, there will be an ambient synth atmosphere to the whole album, and the vocals are going to be radically different.


Malodorous is this kind of band which have a lot of fan everywhere but keep having a little discography and the non-possibility to play on stage for the moment...Have you a particular secret for this except your good sound?

I dont think there is a secret. People just like our music.

The band born in 2007…Were you already friends before the band’s creation? How did you met and how the band was formed?

Yeah I started this project in November of 2007 just out of boredom,didnt expect to take it as seriously as I am now. I was living by myselfand didn't have much to do besides play video games and smoke weed.So I busted out my guitar, old drum machine, and made two songs.Then I asked my friend Jaymes Grundmann to lay down vocals.I met Jaymes about a year before hand through his one man porno grindproject Extreme Whore Disorder back when I was making music forPostmortem Procedures. He lives in Colorado and I live in Missouriso we did everything over the internet and still do.


Mike Majewski designed your logo.What kind of relationship is there between him and the band?

No relationship what so ever. I just needed a logo and saw him makingsome pretty cool ones so I just asked him to make one and he did.Plus I like Devourment, so I thought it would be pretty sweet for him to make our logo.


You made a split with Plerosis called “Slaughtered in Seclusion”
How did you collaborate for this?

Neil Ruppert from Plerosis just wrote me up out of the blue one dayasking if we would be up for putting a little split together.Checked his music out and thought it was bad ass, so I said sure.Thats when I started to take this band a little bit more seriously.I Wasn't even considering playing live or anything like that at this point.


Is the split cd artwork a common choice between the 2 bands? Can you explain this choice?

We didn't really talk much about how the cover would look and stuff like that.I was pretty broke and couldn't pay an artist for new artwork so I used someof my dad's photography (http://www.360icon.com/). Also made the cd layout and everything.In the end I'm glad I went that route for this release. All out gore covers are awesome,but I thought something a little more subtle would be cool, plus its just differentfrom anything else anyone is doing. Breaking down the walls the hinder imagination.


You’ve started a tour called “sexual preda tour” with CR and EFRO…
Who’ve organised this tour?

Yes! just got back from the Sexual Preda-Tour on sunday, it was a blast!Got to meet Neil from Plerosis for the first time and see Dyscrasia and SikFuk live!!!This tour was all 'do-it-yourself'. Clay from Cemetery Rapist did most the work, bookingall the shows by himself. Didn't have any help from booking agencies or any crap like that.


Did you want make a tour or is it just an opportunity that happened?

It kinda just happened at the last minute. I saw Cemetery Rapist had atour and was traveling with two other bands, then one day I was talking tohim about it and he said one of the bands was missing in action and hecouldn't get ahold of them. So i offered to take their spot, knowing I coulddo it 100%. So it all worked out and we got on the tour.


The tour include 9 dates for july and august in the United States…
How the moving from a show to another are taking place?
Are there some long distance between all the dates?

Yeah, we had a date on the last day in july but it didn't pan out sowe started on august 1st at the Cesspool Castle in Joplin, Missouri.Everyone just met at my house the day before and we crammed allour gear into my brothers Hyundi Santa Fe. Let me tell you, aftertraveling in that car for 9 days it smelt like rotten milk!!! We hadsome pretty long distances to travel also, from Columbus Ohio toMilwaukee wisconsin was the furthest I think.


I’ve read that for your next album you didn’t want to record yourselfthe song with the intention to have the best sound you can… So did you have already recorded something by your means before?

All the music we have so far is recorded and mixed by me.I would just run my drum machine through my mixer into mycomputer then record the drum track. Then I would record aguitar track once on the left then again on the right. I would haveput bass but I dont have a bass guitar and couldn't get ahold ofone so there are no bass tracks on those recordings. Then I wouldrecord/mix the song on Garage Band through my Mac then send themusic track to Jaymes through email. Then he would send me a vocaltrack he recorded on his own, then I would mix it into the song thenI would be done. I mean I really don't think they sound bad the wayi recorded them. A lot better then most home recordings that bands do,bit I just want a more full sound and have all the levels, volumes, etc correct.


We’ve listened your first album’s promo, it’s fucking kick ass!Can’t wait the album!How is it approach?Talk me about this album.

We're just working on music for our first full length, we plan to recordit around december. We have 4 tracks written so far. It will be releasedon FTA Records and it will be the first pro cd release on the label. no cd-r's.We have some sick ass artwork being made by the artist FRENCH.Like you mentioned before we wont be recording this album by ourselves.We'll go into a reputable music recording studio and record there,plus I'll be recording bass guitar on the album also so it will sound fuller.Also were gonna try to get Colin Davis from Imperial Mastering to masterthe cd to give it that big sound. I always think the next song we write isthe best and i try not to repeat myself so it should be full of awesomeriffs you've never heard before. I'm really stoked about it. Its turning outto be a lot better then our old stuff. Experimenting with different soundsand having different guitar rhythms on the left and right side giving it areally sick sound. We're def not gonna stick to any rules or any onedeath metal genre on this album.


After your first album’s release to come, have you think about merch too?

I'm prolly just get some more t-shirts printed up around the time of the release, maybe have sort of package deal, we'll see though.

Hello, how are you? Thanks very much for taking your time out to answer my questions.

hi, im great thanks. no problem at all, thanks for the interest!

Crepitation are a UK based band formed in 2005. What does Crepitation mean who chose it and why did you pick it?

Crepitation is a medical name for a condition thats caused by broken bone fragments and other horrible stuff inside your body. i think it was the original guitarist and founding member dan that thought of the name

You have made a 3 track demo and a split with Kastrated and Ingested.

Are you planning to make a new CD?

well, we have had alot of line up changes the last couple of years so its been hard to get material written.we will make an album in the future but as for when I really dont know. we are writing material at the moment but we are all in other bands as well as crepitation so its difficult to find the time to get things done

I’ve noticed you’re not signed. Are you looking for a label at the moment?

What label would you go for and why?

well with no new material to release we're not in any rush to get signed, but i think lacerated enemy would be a good label to work with. they seem to give the bands they sign decent promotion and the shirts they print look great too.also brutal bands have some really great bands and look pretty professonal. matt our guitarist tells me we have had some interest from sevared records and speaking from experience they are great to work with.

You worked with UC for the production of «Crepitation» girlies.

How did you contact them?

ah yeah, we have known anna who runs UC for ages so when it came to girls shirts it was an obvious choice to work with her.

Who designed this shirt and how was this collaboration?

Can you describe it a little ?

everything came out exactly as planned.im really not sure who designed the shirts as it was a long time ago now, it may have been our now ex vocalist paul as he was doing most of that stuff at the time.

Have you got some girlies to sell by your means ?

How well did it sell?

no we have none left now, so obviously they sold really well haha. im sure we will get some new ones printed at some point though.

You have played recently at the Obscene Extreme fest.

Did you enjoy the festival and how did it come about?

yeah it was an awesome show and we had a really great time there. i think we just had an email from kurby the organiser. as its such a great fest we really couldnt say no!

Have you ever been to OEF as spectators?

ive never been as a spectator, no. but i have been before as i played there with my other band, amputated in 2004.that was amazing, i was wasted for the whole weekend and i got to see brodequin play haha. im not sure if the others have been before.

Paul left the band just after the OEF show...

What are the consequences of it?Is his departure interfered with the band?

yeah he only just quit. i dont know the exact reason, i think he just wants to concentrate on other things these days.it will affect the band a bit as he had a really distinctive voice and he really worked hard for us. it hasnt had any consequences yet though as it was very recent. we are going to carry on though and we have a couple of possibilities as a replacement but i wont say who just yet ;)

What song(s) do you listen to the most at the moment?

these days im listening to alot of crust punk and heavy metal bands like anti-cimex, black uniforms, framtid, cloven hoof,w.a.s.p,saxon etc. there arent many death metal bands that do it for me these days but obviously i still love the classics!i know matt is really into technical death metal and joe recently went to see suicidal tendancies and really loved it so they obviously do it for him haha.

First, tell us about the creation of the band

Well.. It started off as just me when i was 13 :)
i am now 18 and i feel that when i continue it on
as just myself that it will be extremly brutal :)

Could you briefly explain us : What the ambiance is like?
What the members of the band are like ?

Well I am just a big Deathcore fan ,
I love to party but who doesnt :P lol
Well here in orlando the ambiance is
pretty twisted .. its very mixed:)
but the metal scene is very amazing


How did you find the name Infant Eradication ?

I came up with it because i hate babbies ..
and i always will ( thats how i got Infant)
and i love mass death ( thats how i got Eradication )


You are creating new songs at the moment
When we will hear them ?

Well being back to 1 man it shouldn't be
that long, I just have to get my drum machine
back out and start programminso i can tear up
the world with my sickness

You asked to Kill Design, Majewski & brutal disorder for logos
and the artwork.Who could do the cover of a future CD ?

I really haven't thought about that yet because
I just wanna make music and start playing shows
in Orlando maybe when Infant Eradication got a little
more known i will think about it


Have you got any plans for some shows ?

No, not yet , i want to get enough music written before hand

Tell me about the creation of the band??

The band was born, It was an idea by Hugo to do a solo project,Then he spent a few weeks and invited me to participate seriously in the beginning of a band 2 members, I handle the design and the Administration of the band.
Esophagus was born in October 2008 as band consisting of 4 members, being hugo and I + other members


You were on stage recently. How did it happen ? Had you already experienced some shows before ?


all the members of Esophagus have other projects,participate in other bands. Hugo (Wounds of Christ - Goredefecate), Andre Wounds of Christ- Goredefecate- DAV)Albert (Urogenital Macrophage) and Mark (Kretan-Guttural Engorgement- DIP)so in ESOPHAGUS exists in a lot of experience and attitude above all.


The Pulverized by Misanthropic behavior demo is nowavailable as well as the band's shirts. What are you preparing next ?

Yeah,since the demo and T-shirts are ready, we are going to sell them to different parts of the world


Which bands are the most influential in your band's music style ?

Mmm, heard much brutal death metal,brutalslam and we are always informed about the world of extreme metal scene, I think devourment will always be an influence or a band we admire and now abominable putridity, only brutal scene… rather than a real influence, we compare our level with them.


How would you like Esophagus to progress ?Would you like to focus only on music if you could ?

Clearly, we would like to have, some day, the opportunity to devote full-time to music design and art…serious brooootal !


Mark Rawls joined the band and had record the demo.He lives pretty far from the other members. How did you make this recording from distance ?

Mark is clearly interested in our music, I sent himthe songs to listen to our work, and he was amazedby the quality of our compositions. I asked him to bepart of the band, the recording of the integrated demo.
Naaa. Mark is living in SouthCarolina USA, and all Esophagus members live in Concepcion Chile. :D


Do you think that a future with M. Rawls is possible ?

it's very difficult, but it could be used in a festival where they invite us, our show is very good and brutal…

If you could choose a band which Esophagus could play with,Which one would you choose ?

Even the current Devourment,Immolation,Abominable Putridity,Despondency,Ingested,Insidious Decrepancy,Putrid Pile and more


I know you are a designer for bands ( logos, design... )So, do you realize all your band's artwork ?

yes, I'm in charge of the art of band,this is easier, I give my own vision to the art I make the necessary changes, as I want

Hey, how are you ?Thank you so much for this interview.

Hello – I’m doing great.

Tell us about the beginning of Brutal Bands.How many people are involved at the moment ?

BB was started up in September of 2002, with the first signing being Incinerate. Over the years we’ve added 9more bands to our roster and have put out 22 releases.BB has always been owned and operated solely by myself.

What do you think about BB's creation and BB now ?

Well back when BB was started, I didn’t really know a lot about running a label. I knew some of the basics and just learned the in and outs as I went along.I’m fairly proud of what it’s become so far, but really,I still look at this as just the beginning.I’m constantly working to expand this label, and there is still plenty of room for growth.

You have a great collection of achieved projects.Can you tell us about some of them ?

Well, I don’t really have a preference.I am proud of every release in their own way.I try to make sure all of our releases get equal attention and opportunity.In some cases we’ve done special packaging such as slip cases and digipacks.

What are your next plans ?Would you like to work with some specific bands ?

Some upcoming plans are to hopefully sign some new distribution contracts with some bigger distributors.We’ve got the new Devourment – “Unleash The Carnivore”Digipack CD in stores June 26th, and the new Insidious Decrepancy – “Extirpating Omniscient Certitude” DigipackCD in stores July 31st. Also in the works are new albums from Anomalous and Element. And of course we’re in talks to sign more bands, but you’ll have to wait for official announcements on those later on

What would a band need to be accepted by BB ?

Well first and fore most quality material.Demos with great production really get our attention as well as it shows the band is able to attain quality production. Other things would be interesting artwork and logo.Basically we’re interested in working with bands that have a professional attitude to create a great album/product. Over the past few years, we been focusing more on established bands, but we listen to all demos regardless of who the band is.If I like what hear, I’ll contact the band.

I guess it takes you alot of time and it's a big job. When do you involve time for your label ? Is it just a hobby ?

Yes, I put in countless hours of time into this label.It is a lot of work, but when you enjoy doing it, it doesn’t seem like work at all. I don’t live off this label, but I’d say it’s more than just a hobby.Probably more like a second in come, since I also have a full time day job as well.

What is the hardest part of your work ?

I would say the hardest part is just keeping up with everything. There is always so much work to do, with many items having deadlines that need to be met. So it has been challenging to work on multiple tasks at the same time – shipping out orders to customers, creating advertisements,designing shirts and posters, shipping out CDs to distributors, updating our web site, designing CD layouts, and the list just goes on and on, every day.

Since the label's creation, What's your best memory ?

Oh there are so many great memories, but one of my favorite fun ones is when BB was first started I wondered if we were ever going to sell a single item.We had our web site and online store up for 3 months.Then finally one day, someone finally bought a shirt.That was our first sale. I was so happy – haha.

You've made some girlies shirts.It's a good thing because there aren't much merch for girls.What do you think about girls in Metal? (Attention, we are girls haha)

Girls in metal are hot and always welcome! There should be more of them.Yes, in our efforts this year to expand our merch selection, we started doing girlies with each new release. We don’t actually sell very many of them,but we want to make sure we offer as many merch options as possible.

In your sales, which are the most successful bands ? Do you know which country is your best customer ?

Well all of our bands are successful in what they do. But if looking at the numbers, bands like Devourment,Abysmal Torment,and Human Mincer have some of the higher sales numbers. I’m not sure which country has the best customers.But if I had to guess,I’d say Germany and the United Kingdom.We get so many orders from those two countries and all of Europe in general.I know most of our sales come from Europe and on the average,the orders from Europe are usually larger orders as well.
