Black Dahlia Murder




Black Dahlia Murder is a Melodic Death Metal / Metalcore band.
They come from Waterford, Michigan
Their current Label is Metal Blade.

Current Line-Up :

Trevor Strnad - Vocals
Brian Eschbach - Guitar
Ryan Knight - Guitar
Bart Williams - Bass
Shannon Lucas – Drums

They began with a first demo en 2001 with 6 tracks.

In may 2002, they make an EP with 4 tracks

August 2nd, 2002 came out their second demo.
This is the demo that got them signed to Metal Blade records. It is also
referred to as the "Metal Blade Demo"

after that, lon the 16th june 2003 comes out their first Full-length released by Metal Blade Record.
It includes 10 tracks. Brian and Trevor are the only ones who were already in the band.
A that moment they were playing with John Kempainen – Guitar, David Lock – Bass, et Cory Grady –Drums

On the 12th june 2005, they make a second full-length called « Miasma »
Mixed by Eric Rachel and Andreas Magnusson at Trax East studios, New Jersey

3rd full-length “ Nocturnal “ lon the 18th september 2007.
Nocturnal is the first album to feature new bassist Bart Williams, who replaced
Dave Lock, and drummer Shannon Lucas, who replaced previous touring drummer
Pierre Langois.
The end of the song "Nocturnal" features an audio clip from the movie The Monster
Squad.
The song "Deathmask Divine" appears to be inspired by the story of Carl von
Cosel.

On 12th may 2009, they made a dvd. That happens less often than a CD or a Demo.
Disc 1:
* Feature documentary consisting of ridiculous tour antics, live footage, and
band interviews.
Disc 2:
*Concert footage from around the world.

And finally on Septembre 15th 2009 their last Full-Length « Deflorate »
Limited edition digipaks come with a DVD that contains studio footage and a mini
documentary.
